John Dean

I live in North Hertfordshire, UK. I make my living as a graphic designer at a small, but busy, printer's. This is where I create most of my artwork, on their computer. I have, sort of, developed my own style based on the art which I love. A mix of celtic and art nouveau, with a spiky edge. On very rare occasions, I paint with acrylics. Nowadays, I mostly design for my own pleasure. I also design for various bands, creating CD covers and tattoo designs for the price of record company cheques or a humble bottle of single malt. I strongly believe in 'art for everyone', not just for those who can afford it.

I think as a result of being a day-dreamer at school, a long time ago, I have become an artist (and a slow reader). I enjoy reading folk lore, fairy tales, anything celtic based, art history, and folk history.

I like the simple things in life and try to live with consideration for the world and everything on it. My interests are growing vegetables and strawberries on my allotment, mountain biking, carpentry/carving, camping, music, and visually interesting films.
