Megan L. Ranney is an American emergency physician who works at the Rhode Island Hospital and is an Associate Professor at Brown University. During the COVID-19 pandemic she brought public attention to the deficit of protective equipment for United States frontline workers. She worked with Shuhan He, a doctor at Massachusetts General Hospital, to create the nonprofit organization GetUsPPE. Dr. Valerie Griffeth, an emergency physician in Portland, is a founding member of GetUsPPE.

GetUsPPE is a grassroots collective of engineers, medical professionals, and volunteers who locate, create, and distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) around the United States to Americans in need. The equipment includes N95 respirators, surgical masks, protective goggles, gloves, face shields, wipes, disinfectants, coveralls, booties, and gowns. GetUsPPE provides surveyed data from institutions regarding N95 respirators, face shields, gloves, and gowns. They also provide petitions to assist healthcare workers around the globe that need personal protective equipment.
