RAICES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees in Texas.

October 2018: Award-winning artists have released a bilingual children’s album, Singing You Home: Children’s Songs for Family Reunification.

The impressive album features tracks from Lin-Manuel Miranda & Mandy Gonzalez, Josh Groban & Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald & Jason Robert Brown, Kristin Chenoweth, Cynthia Erivo, Laura Benanti & Isabella Preston, and Ingrid Michaelson & Ana Villafañe, with backup vocals from the Broadway Baby Mamas. The album was conceived by Laura Benanti and produced by Laura Benanti, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, and Lynn Pinto.

All artists, musicians, technicians, and recording studios donated their time and talents. Nobody associated with the album will make a personal profit.

A little boy who was separated from his father at our border painted the cover art of the album. The father and son were reunited through RAICES.

A substantial portion of the album's proceeds will go directly to the non-profit organization RAICES to help reunite and support families separated at the border.

Approximately 15% of the album's proceeds will go to ASTEP. ASTEP partners with schools and community organizations that serve vulnerable populations: youth affected by immigration status, homelessness, gun-violence, incarceration, the justice system, HIV/AIDS, systemic poverty, and the caste system.
