The WHITE WOMEN: ANSWER THE CALL was in response to the WIN WITH BLACK WOMEN zoom call for Vice President Kamala Harris. Organizer Shannon Watts said she was inspired by the WIN WITH BLACK WOMEN call and she knew it was time for white women to meet the moment too. The WHITE WOMEN: ANSWER THE CALL had nearly 200,000 women who responded. Donations came in at such a high volume and at a pace so intense that the Democratic National Committee's fundraising site crashed several times during the call. By the following day they had raised over $11 million. In an update Watts wrote, "Thank you @WinWithBLKWomen for showing us how it's done!"
